STARTING A TERM OF OFFICE WITH A LIE IS BETRAYING BEFORE ACTING — English

Translation of the French article by Jacques Rouchaud

During the campaign, they promise everything: lower taxes, save the hospitals, protect pensions, give the people back their voice. On election night, they thank the voters. And from the very first weeks, the promises fade away.

This is no accident. It is a method. In the current system, in France as in most countries, you have to make promises to be elected, and nothing sanctions the one who does not keep his word. The term of office is secured for five years, whatever happens.

The citizen, for his part, loses trust. He no longer believes the speeches, he no longer goes to vote, he turns away from public life. And it is the institutions themselves that crack.

Starting a term of office with a lie is betraying even before acting.

Demosciocracy is designed so that this can no longer happen, in France as in every country.

Truth is in its motto: Liberty, Equality, Truth. No lasting society can prosper if public decisions rest on lies, manipulation or disinformation. Truth is sought before any public decision.

The representatives of the territories are drawn by lot. They have nothing to promise in order to be chosen: no campaign, no party to satisfy. They keep their profession and return to it after a one-year mission.

The leadership team publicly presents its programme, its objectives and its means. This programme is a commitment. If the team does not respect it, if it changes direction without agreement, or if it loses confidence, the two chambers can revoke it. No term of office protects it.

Every official is accountable for his actions. No responsibility gives the right to exercise power permanently.

In demosciocracy, the one who lies does not wait five years to be judged. He is held accountable immediately.

Liberty — Equality — Truth
