DEMOSCIOCRACY/ DEMOSCIOCRATIE

Listening to the media and politicians today, I feel that Emmanuel Macron’s choices, dictated by Trump and Putin, are helping to weaken Europe to the point of putting its future in DANGER. In my view, this is not new: it has been going on for more than a century. De Gaulle and Pompidou saved France and Europe too. I hear some American political leaders defending their interests, and too much journalistic commentary that, to my mind, goes along with these positions without questioning them sufficiently.

This gap fuels my anger: we are told that Europe and Ukraine must be protected, but I fear that the decisions being taken may undermine Europe’s independence. I therefore ask leaders to account for the consequences of their actions, and journalists to question them without complacency. The peoples of Europe and the world have a right to clear explanations and the means to decide their future. Or let the peoples take charge of their own countries and implement DEMOSCIOCRACY, which could thwart every ambition to impose dictatorship. What do you think?
